Holition’s Brand Director, Lynne Murray was invited by WGSN to speak at the Asia Fashion Summit 2012 this week, and reviewed ways in which new technologies can bring Retail Theatre to stores, blurring the space between online and in-store retail, to encourage creative retail thinking.

Holition launch Travel Retail division at this year’s prestigious TFWA conference in Singapore. Holition’s CEO Jonathan Chippindale receives a standing ovation from the senior delegates who were impressed with the impact Holition technologies could have on Travel Retail.

Holition were delighted to be invited to speak at the Houses of Parliment today for the Crafts Council /APDIG breakfast discussing the practice of craft, science and technology to an invited audience of Government policy makers and opinion formers launching, ‘Crafting Capital: New Technologies, New Economies.’ The briefing aimed to review the real world production of crafted objects, and the way in which these have potential to open a dialogue in and through the virtual world, building on a previous Holition presentation at, The Internet of Things conference at the Watershed in Bristol. 
Holition Brand Director Lynne Murray, a graduate of the RCA presented a unique perspective on the development of Holition’s augmented reality technology which operates at the intersection of design, digital craftsmanship and future entrapeneurship.
Other speakers included Clare Reddington from Pervasive Media Studio, Watershed Bristol a multi-disciplinary research lab, Andy Huntington, Interaction Designer and hardware producer, BERG London. Topics included amazingly Frankenstein bio-technology using craft principles from glass artist Matt Durran in partnership with the Royal Free Hospital, to exploratory digital material science from Kelly Sant who looked at the future of additive manufacture for disintegrating moulds.  
All speakers were interested in the future digital economy and ways in which the tacit skills of real world creative engineering, can be harnessed and developed for new digital economies at the intersection of creativity, science and technology.
